Openings & Closings:
Please notify Beechmount Pools within 72 hours of closing date if you have any questions or concerns about the closing/opening services provided.  Please call 519-743-0484 or email service@beechmountpools.com

The customer is responsible for notifying Beechmount Pools that the water level has been raised to the correct level and/or hydro is on so that our staff can return to start the system.  We will arrange for a return visit within 1-3 business days from being notified; we do not guarantee same-day return visits, and cannot guarantee next-day return visits if we are notified outside of regular office hours (9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday).

The customer is responsible for notifying Beechmount Pools of any timers connect to the system at the time of closing.  We strongly recommend any electrical breakers connected to the pool equipment are turned off.

The customer is responsible for balancing the pool and keeping it clear and free of debris prior to closing.  Closings include up to 15 minutes of scooping leaves/debris from pool.  If additional scooping is requested a fee of $25 will be applied (up to 20 minutes extra total).

Water level, water quality, cover condition and liner condition (if applicable) are not the responsibility of Beechmount Pools come the following Spring.

Please note: typically we will lower the water no more than 18 inches.  The amount of water removed can vary depending on timing of closing and type of pool.

WATER LOSS IN THE SPRING: Many times small leaks in a pool are mistaken for evaporation, backwashing, and/or usage during the season.  Over the course of the Winter those leaks can cause significant water loss and damage to the pool and cover.  If you discover low water/water loss in the Spring please call us.  Once the ice has melted we will be able to address those issues.

Beechmount Pools has suspended our salt cell cleaning service.  The homeowner is solely responsibly for cleaning and storing the cell.  It is recommended that the cell be stored inside.  Our staff are instructed to remove cells and place them where requested, or if the homeowner is not present, somewhere visible and accessible for you.  Staff are not instructed to bring cells back to the shop.  A salt cell cleaning solution can be provided when requested for an additional charge.

For Mini Closings

We do not lower water, remove equipment, add a closing chemical kit, or put the cover on during a Mini pool closing.  If any of these tasks are required at the time of closing, an additional charge will be applied for each.

Additional charges for the following may apply at opening/closing:

  • In-floor cleaning systems
  • Spillover spas
  • Stand alone spas
  • Solar panels
  • Waterfalls, deck jets, or other water features
  • Pools larger than 100,000L

Maintenance & Service:

For quality concerns, customers have 12 hours after their scheduled maintenance call to phone 519.743.0484 (business hours) or email maintenance@beechmountpools.com

Maintenance calls cannot be rescheduled due to extreme weather, and our 12 hour guarantee is not applicable.

Bi-weekly (every two weeks) customers are required to perform general maintenance duties in the off weeks. If the pool has been left for two weeks, extra clean-up charges may apply at $99/hr plus chemicals.

Solar blankets will be left off after each maintenance visit to avoid premature deterioration from the chemicals added. Any requests otherwise will be at the customers own risk.

No-Green Guarantee chemicals will consist of only shock and algaecide. Balancers, phosphate removers and clarifiers are extra.

Beechmount Pools does not take responsibility for the general wear and tear of pool items. Most pool products are plastic, exposed to weather and chemicals and do not come with life-time warranties.

Customers with auto-covers may be charged an additional fee if the cover requires pumping off (water, debris) as this can add significant time spent on-site, and is the responsibility of the homeowner.  Failure to remove significant water can result in damage to the auto-cover material and mechanisms.  Beechmount Pools is not responsible for damage caused by improper maintenance of covers.

Pool equipment may not be started at the same time as opening if conditions are not ideal (including but not limited to: water is too low, equipment is not in working order, no power to equipment).  Once notified of water level, and or electricity being on and available we will schedule a start-up for the next soonest available time.   Same-day service is not guaranteed during opening season due to high call volume.

Beechmount Pools staff are not responsible for turning inspecting, turning on, or servicing gas appliances such as Natural Gas or Propane heaters.  A certified gas technician must be contacted to complete this service.

Service & Maintenance calls are scheduled between Monday and Friday only.  Service is not performed on holidays.  Service hours are between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.  We do not schedule evening calls.  Service requests made on weekends will be scheduled for the following week.

Equipment:

For gas pool heaters, please contact the original manufacturer directly for warranty-related questions or issues. Only a certified gas technician can perform warranty work.

Customers are responsible for the general wear and tear of their equipment. Pool equipment is repeatedly exposed to long periods of being dry (offseason can be longer than most pool seasons), corrosive chemicals (within its surroundings and in the water), humidity/moisture and extreme temperature fluctuations. These alone can be damaging to the electrical, glass, rubber and plastic components of the equipment. Beechmount Pools is not liable for any repair or replacement of pumps and pump motors, filters (sand, cartridge and/or D.E.), heaters, chlorinators, salt cells and other pool related equipment caused by these factors.

If we are unable to take out any minor wrinkles a credit of $150 will be applied to the invoice. Major wrinkles will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Once liner has been installed, faceplates installed and filled with water, customer has 72hrs to report water loss to Beechmount Pools. Only manufacturer defects involving the liner will be warrantied beyond that time. There is a 6-month limited warranty on all other workmanship involving the installation of the liner. One-year service on any liner tuck-ups.

Safety Covers:

Customers requesting and/or quotes resulting in Safety Cover measurements only will be charged $125 +HST. Drawings will not be provided.

Deck material (i.e.: patio stones, wood), waterfalls, slides and other deck-side objects that can not be removed will add additional costs. Any third party quotes would need to explicitly state each feature.

We provide no guarantee from chipping or cracking when drilling anchors.

Transportation of Chemicals:

While Beechmount may be able to assist you in carrying purchased items to your vehicle, Beechmount Pools is not responsible for any damage(s) caused to cars or customer property by spilled chemicals, including stains caused by chlorines or acids during transportation.
